Nalwire Community, Busia District,  witnessed a momentous occasion as the newly constructed Nalwire Lutheran School was dedicated on 22/June/23. The construction of the school was made possible through the LCU partnership with HH4U and Redeemer Lutheran Church,  Redwood City,  Califonia,  USA.

The celebration was graced by presence of the HH4U June 2023 Mission Team of 34 individuals from Messiah Lutheran, Immanuel Lutheran Wenzevill both from St. Loius,  MO and Redeemer  Lutheran,  Califonia,  Board Members,  Pastors,  Church Leaders and Members,  Nalwire School Community,  as well as the Parents,
Teachers, Communith Leaders and Members.

Invited guests inclided the Resident District Commissioner,  Busia District who was the Guest of Honor,  the LC 5 Busia District,  the District Inspector of School,  Mayor Lumino Town,  District Police Commander,  District and Comminity Councilors and other local Leaders and Community Members.

The resounding message was the general appreciation of the LCU and Partner’s unwavering  commitment to promoting Education and the spirit of collaboration.

The dedication ceremony commenced with a Worship service led by the Dean Far-East Deanery Rev. Nicholus Bwire Nicholus,  with a Surmon delivered by Pastor Paul Schuilt from Redeemer Church.  The LCU National Presiding Bishop led the Dedication part of the Service and related Ceremonies.

In his remarks, the National Presiding Bishop Rev. Charles I Bameka appriciated the role played by HH4U and Partners, in the growth and development of the LCU Communities. “Today, we gather here to celebrate a momentous occasion—the dedication of Nalwire Lutheran School, a testament to the power of unity, generosity, and transformative potential of Partnership between the LCU and HH4U especially in the area of education” said Bishop.

The dedicated mission team, alongside the unwavering support of the Lutheran Church of Uganda and the community, have left an indelible mark on the educational landscape of Busia, ensuring that the pursuit of knowledge knows no bounds.

The LC 5 in his speech urged the community parents to keep their kids in school and proposed to return and support them.

The guest of honor, RDC Busia appreciated the delopment brought in Busia District through the school construction, pledging government support for the school.
