It has been exciting to watch the Kawete Lutheran Secondary School starting to take shape as it is being built. The School, a National Secondary School of the Lutheran Church of Uganda (LCU), is being funded by Christ Community International (CCI) in partnership with the LCU.
Many of us have watched as the main works done over the last two months has been to lay a solid and firm foundation for the two storied building which is set to house the classrooms, Library, Laboratories Administration Block and Chapel/Main Hall.
You can notice that the foundation is hidden under the ground and you will never see it even though it is actually the most important part of the School Building.
The foundation under construction will end up being invisible, and even though it will take time to complete this level of construction, the impact and importance of that foundation for this School Construction is very visible.
In 1 Corinthians 3:10-11, St. Paul says that by the grace of God given to him, he had laid a firm foundation when he began his work in Corinth. He also said that “…no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.”
