A Lutheran Church Conference was held on April 22-23, 2024 at the Nalwire Lutheran Church and Primary School in Busia. The conference was co-led by Rev. Dr. Craig DuBois of Grace Lutheran Church in Texas, USA, Bishop Charles I Bameka, the National Presiding Bishop of the LCU.
The conference covering topics relating to the ‘Church’ and ‘Stewardship’, brought together 38 participants coming from the Lutheran congregations of Buhasaba, Nalwire, Bwakama and the newly planted church of Butebo.
Pastor Onyango Moses and Mrs. Margaret Monday made the local arrangements. The Dean Far East Deanery of LCU Rev. Nicholas Bwire was thankful that the workshop had been organized in his Deanery. In attendance was Mr. Stephen Maxwell, a congregant from Our Savior Lutheran Church in Mackenney, Texas
The event was preceded by a special worship service at the Nalwire Lutheran Church on April 21st, with Pastor Craig preaching.
