Connect to Uganda is a US registered organization and a Partner to the Lutheran Church of Uganda, whose existence is to serve the people of Uganda through the LCU (Lutheran Church of Uganda), by creating meaningful relationships and partnerships between people and communities in Uganda and individuals, families, organizations, and groups in the U.S.

Through the Lutheran Church of Uganda, needs are identified in certain communities. These needs can fall within the spectrum – it may be medication for a sick child, it may be a gift toward the installment of a borehole well, it may be a permanent church structure, or schools in a community booming with potential.

Connect to Uganda has been more involved in the communities of Bubago, Bugwala and Magogo in Kamuli District – Eastern Uganda, attending to both community and individual needs whilst extending a hand to the religious men that serving under the Lutheran Church of Uganda.

To date, Connect to Uganda has facilitated through the LCU a variety of activities including Support for the Construction of Bubago Lutheran Nursery and Primary school, provision of bicycles to ease transport for Faith ministers in the rural areas, providing medical support to community members as well as Faith ministers, construction of borehole and latrines to boost water, hygiene and sanitation, skills training and business development for the women under the Far Away Friends Program, and general care for the most vulnerable individuals in some of the communities where the LCU serves.

Connect to Uganda also does conduct Mission trips 2 to 3 times a year, to Uganda where it collaborates with the Lutheran Church of Uganda in executing a variety of activities including “days for girls” training, devotion, and skills training for women, among others.

In their most recent visit (July 2022) Connect to Uganda did engage with children in school to engage in Devotions as well as providing sewing materials for the Far Away Friends tailoring project as well as other medical supplies for first aid at Bubago Lutheran Nursery and Primary School.
