In a solemn worship service led by National Presiding Bishop Charles I Bameka, on 04th April 2024, the newly elected Deanery Council members for Northern Deanery were installed at a well attended worship service at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Lira.
The elections, overseen by the National Legal Advisor who serves as the Elections Chairperson, were conducted in a fair and transparent manner, ensuring that the fair process was upheld.
The members of the Deanery Council elected included those of the Youth League, Women league, College of Laity and House of Clergy whose members shall be sitting on the Deanery Council along side the Dean and the Deanery Synod Coordinator.
As the members took their oath of office, Bishop Bameka reminded them of the importance of understanding upholding their role and responsibilities as helper in the ministry based on 1Timothy 3:8-13. He reminded them that they are called to be of Good Character, Sober and rooted in the Word of God as they serve while guiding and nurturing the spiritual life of many in the Deanery
