Some of the Students of Nakabango LSS Clad in the new school Uniform

Jinja, Uganda – Nestled in the heart of the Eastern Region, Nakabango Lutheran Secondary School’s journey has been one of remarkable resilience and determination, as it has grown from a modest wooden structure housing just 6 students in 2009 to a steadily growing institution with over 180 enrolled learners today.

The School was burdened by the impact of COVID-19 pandemic, which saw its enrollment plummet from 140 students pre-Covid 19 time to a mere 70 during the in the year 2022.  However, the school’s able new administration, in close collaboration with LCU’s Education Department, has tirelessly worked to rebuild and reclaim its position as a Growing premier Secondary Educational Institution in the Eastern Deanery of the LCU.

This year, the school has seen a steady resurgence in enrollment, with the introduction of the Secondary 5 class marking a significant milestone in its growth trajectory. By 2025, NLSS is poised to host all six secondary school classes, further solidifying its reputation as a center of academic excellence.  NLSS has rolled out a New School Uniform and encourages all parents to migrate to the new colours.

We commend the support and partnership of Mr. Stephen Maxwell, from United States who has been instrumental in advocating for and supporting the institution’s growth and development.  We thank God for His doing in our midst.
