Jinja – Uganda, The Lutheran Church of Uganda organized a 4day Annual National Teachers’ Conference at the Jinja City Hotel new grounds. The Conference brought together; Teachers, Bursars, Chaplains, Chairpersons School Management Committees, Chairpersons PTA, from its affiliated schools.

The workshop provided a platform for educators and support staff to engage in valuable discussions, workshops, and training sessions, all geared towards enhancing their skills and knowledge ahead of the academic Year 2024.

Mr Eria Kisambira the Inspector of Schools Jinja, who was the chief Facilitator and chief guest, emphasized the need for proffesionalism and Proficiency towards the students’ future.

A key highlight of the Conference on the 4th and last day was the recognition of the best-performing school, where Nakabango Lutheran Nursery and Primary school was announced the best, as the event also honored exceptional teachers for their dedication and contribution to the field of education. Mr. Fred Nakyoma was recorgnized as the best Headteacher overal!

In his remarks, the National Presiding Bishop of the Lutheran Church of Uganda, Bishop Charles I. Bameka commended the school staff for their role and hardwork toward the good results this year for all schools.

The success of the workshop and awards ceremony was made possible through the support and facilitation of Hearts & Hope for Uganda organization, which sponsors the annual conference supporting 8 schools, while other LCU Partners including; Christ Community International, Connect to Uganda, Stephen’s Ministry supported one school each.

In Attendance, were the LCU Staff, LCU Chaplains and Pastors, Hearts & Hope Staff, Education experts and others.
