Four Pastors were Ordained by the Lutheran Church of Uganda in a ceremony filled with celebration, prayer, and reflection.

The ordination took place on Sunday, 14th,  May 2023 at Ngetta Lutheran Church in Lira,  Northern Uganda in the Northern Deanery. It was performed by the National Presiding Bishop, Rev. Charles I Bameka.

The four newly ordained pastors are Rev Joseph Opio,  Ojok Isac,  Rev Ogwal Steven and Rev David Omara at Ngetta Lutheran Church Lira!

The ordination service was attended by family members, friends, and colleagues of the ordained pastors, as well as representatives from other churches.

During the ordination service, Bishop Bameka reminded the pastors of their responsibility to share God’s love and teachings with their congregations. He also urged them to stay committed to their faith, to continue to learn, and to be humble in their service..

The newly ordained pastors shared similar sentiments of gratitude and commitment to their new roles.

The Ordination was also attended by Pastors of LCU including Rev Raymon Kaija the Dean MidWestern Deanery,  Rev Peter Maganda the Dean Eastern Deanery,  Rev James Okello the Host and the Dean Northern Deanery. Others are Rev Benard Mwesigwa,  Rev Elfaz Buluuba,  Rev Moses Ahimbisibwe,  and etc.

The Lutheran Church of Uganda congratulates the newly ordained pastors and wishes them all the best in their ministry. It also thanks their families and supporters for standing with them during their training and ordination process. May God bless their ministry and the entire church.
