The Lutheran Church of Uganda held an ordination event and publicly commissioned three pastors into public ministry during the divine service which took place at Ikumbya Lutheran Church, Luuka District, that saw ordinands; Joseph Ngobi, Fred Waako and Joel Mugere making solemn vows before the Church.

The Ordination divine Service that was presided over by the National Presiding Bishop, Charles I Bameka, was attended by Clergymen, members of the congregation, Political Leaders, local community leaders, and well-wishers who gathered to witness the pastors as they took on their new roles.

During the Service, the national Presiding Bishop, emphasized the importance of the pastoral role in guiding, nurturing, and providing spiritual leadership to the congregation.

The newly ordained pastors were reminded of the responsibilities and challenges that come with their calling, and were encouraged to remain steadfast in their faith and commitment to serving others.

The Service was also graced with the Holy Communion where the confirmed Lutherans took before the alter to attest to the Eucharistic bread.

The clergymen that attended the ordination were, Bishop Charles I Bameka the National presiding Bishop, Rev Maganda Peter the Dean eastern Deanery, Rev James Odoo Okello the National synod Coordinator, Rev Akuwa James the Dean Central Deanery, Rev James Batwawula, Rev Adafala Patrick Dean Northern Deanery and others.
